Message from the President

Dear Candidate,

When I first came to Berkeley from my high school that had a graduating class of 60, I was excited by the endless opportunities available on campus. At the same time, I was looking for a community of people who would challenge me, support me, and make a school as large as Berkeley feel a little smaller.

I found that community in UBG.

Throughout my time at Berkeley, UBG has introduced me to some of my closest friends, mentors, and role models. Whether it was preparing for recruiting, celebrating wins in SF, or simply spending time together at one of our apartments, UBG has consistently been a place where people genuinely want to see each other succeed.

As someone studying EECS and Business through Berkeley's M.E.T. Program, I've had the opportunity to explore many different career paths. However, one thing I've learned is that no one succeeds alone. The people around you matter. Our members pursue excellence in their careers across technology, finance, and entrepreneurship, but they all share a common willingness to support one another. The friendships you build here extend far beyond professional development, they become the people you call when you need advice, the people you travel with, and the people who help shape your college experience.

As we look toward the coming semester, I hope you experience that same sense of community throughout recruitment. Beyond the friendships, you'll gain access to an incredible network of members and alumni who are always willing to help. Whether you're exploring career paths, preparing for interviews, looking for mentorship, or simply trying to navigate college life, you'll find people here who have been in your shoes and are eager to pay it forward.

Looking back, joining UBG was one of the most impactful decisions I made during my time at Berkeley. It has challenged me to grow and provided a community that I know will remain a part of my life long after graduation.
