Ishita Shah
President

Ishita is a junior majoring in Business Administration and Political Science and minoring in Spanish. She has lived in both Allen, Texas and the Washington, D.C. area. Ishita spent her sophomore summer at JF Lehman, working in private equity for the government and defense sectors, and will be joining Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division in New York for her junior summer. She also makes plenty of time for writing poetry, playing the piano, and exploring fashion trends.

Naren Varyani
Senior Vice President

Naren is a junior from Ghana, majoring in Economics and minoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Law. Professionally, he's interested in becoming an investor and most recently spent his sophomore summer at a $100 billion AUM value fund in Chicago. Naren will be joining Lazard’s M&A / Restructuring group in New York City this summer. He spends his free time listening to investing podcasts, watching soccer, and listening to Amapiano.

Alson Chan
Co-Professional Director

Alson is a junior from Palo Alto, California, studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This past summer, he interned at Tesla, working on product development, financing, and profitability for commercial energy, new vehicle products, and global supercharger infrastructure. In the past, he has interned at Lockheed Martin and Google. In his free time, he enjoys producing music (rap, house), powerlifting, and cheering on the Celtics.

Satyam Sharma
Co-Professional Director

Satyam is a junior from San Diego, California studying ORMS, Computer Science and Public Policy. His previous experience spans political consultancy and government agencies including the Department of State. Currently, he works as a secondaries intern at Industry Ventures. On campus, Satyam is a AI policy researcher with Berkeley's APEC Study Center and previously course coordinated with SCET. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, beach trips, and reading nonfiction.

Alexa Tsai

Alexa is a senior from Portland, Oregon majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology & Business Administration through the LSBE program. She interned at Morgan Stanley in their SF Healthcare Investment Banking group for the past two summers and has previous experience working at a telemedicine startup. During her free time, she enjoys learning about skincare products, playing card games, watching reality TV, and exploring local coffee shops.

Jamie Liu

Jamie is a senior from Boulder, Colorado, majoring in Business Administration and Public Health. She is interested in how healthcare and business can intersect, specifically in strategy and corporate development roles. This past summer, she interned at AlphaSights, focused on client services and corporate strategy. In the past, she has interned at A16z, Emerald, and Spark Growth Capital. She spends her free time dancing, exploring new places to eat, and hanging out with friends.

Summer Hua

Summer is a senior studying Business Administration, Economics & Data Science. Prior to going to a US boarding school at 16, she lived in China and Singapore. This past summer, Summer worked at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking summer analyst. In her free time, Summer is a competitive spicy food eater, fashion lover, alto singer and loves to attend founder events in SF.

Arul Prakash

Arul is a junior studying Business Administration with a certificate in Entrepreneurship & Technology. He has interned in finance roles in the past, most recently as an FP&A intern at Apple. Next summer, he will be interning at the Raine Group. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, collecting sneakers, watching movies, and working out.

Alp Cirnaz

Alp is a junior from Istanbul, Turkey, intending to double major in Economics and Business Administration. In the past, he has worked at Visa on their product management team. Alp has also previously engaged in economic research and various consulting projects. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer, traveling to new destinations, and graphic designing.

Justin Lee

Justin is a junior from Korea majoring in Business Administration and Data Science. In the past, he worked at Intrepid Investment Bankers, Riot Games, and Clew Partners. Justin will spend his junior summer at J.P. Morgan’s M&A group in San Francisco. Before coming to Berkeley, Justin went to a British international school in Jeju, Korea where he was part of varsity rugby and fencing.

Alexander Schubert

Alex is a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Business Administration and Economics. He will be working at Lazard next summer in their New York M&A/Restructuring group. He is currently working at GI Partners, a $40Bn private equity fund, in their San Francisco office. Alex is originally German-Lebanese and raised in Dubai.

Caitlyn is a junior from Scottsdale, Arizona, majoring in Molecular Cellular Biology. She interned at Elevance Health as a finance intern this past summer and has previously worked at 4D Molecular Therapeutics as a Technology Innovation intern. Ellie Glantz is a student at the University of California Berkeley double majoring in Economics and Business, with a minor in Gender and Women Studies. She will be joining Morgan Stanley in New York City working with their investment banking division.

JJ Sandhu

JJ was born and raised in Haymarket, VA, and is studying Computer Science. He is currently working on Project Maven at the Berkeley AI Research Laboratory and will intern at K1 on their investment team as a private equity analyst this summer. Previous experiences include PWM at Morgan Stanley and strategy roles at high-growth software companies (Inxeption, Ankr). During his free time, he enjoys gaming, lifting, and going to car meets.

Oliver was born and raised in Beijing, China, and is currently a junior intending to major in Economics and Business. Nayha Kshirsagar

Nayha is a sophomore studying Business Administration and Public Health. She is originally from Minnesota, but spent a few years in China and Singapore. Previous experiences include PWM at Morgan Stanley, investment analytics and M&A research. She is interested in the intersection of operational strategy and life sciences. In her free time, Nayha enjoys painting and rock climbing, and is currently training for a half-marathon.

Neha Dinesh

Neha is a sophomore from Howard County, Maryland, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. With deep interests in technology, entrepreneurship, investment banking, and engineering, she has more recently interned at Wall Street Oasis, an online forum for people in the finance industry, and Style AI, a venture-backed AI startup based in New York City. In her free time, Neha enjoys figure skating, cheering on Manchester City, and the iced mint matcha latte from Cafe Strada.

Jennifer Feng

Jennifer is a Sophomore from mainland China, who’s been to 12 different schools so far, with Berkeley being her latest stop. She is hoping to major in Molecular Cell Biology and Business Administration. She recently interned at EY-Parthenon as a healthcare consultant and has also worked as an equity research intern in the past. In her free time she is a pro mahjong player and enjoys water sports.

Jonathan Lee

Jonathan is a sophomore from Korea studying Biology and Business. Before Berkeley, Jonathan grew up in Korea and studied in Malaysia and Hong Kong. He has interned at 4D Molecular Therapeutics this summer and performed bioinformatics-based research. He has previously worked at private equity and venture capital firms. Partha Puli

Partha sprouts from Pleasanton, CA, studying Toxicology and Business. His interests include finding the intersection between healthcare and business through finance. In the past, he has interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Ziteo Medical, and Jamba Juice. This summer, Partha will be a healthcare private equity summer analyst in New York City at Altaris. In his free time, he enjoys shooting hoops, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Ariya Savla

Ariya is from the Bay Area intending to major in Public Health and Economics. She has previously interned at Sellside Group, an M&A and consulting firm, and Front Porch, a venture capital firm. Karan Ratra

Karan is a sophomore majoring in Economics and Data Science. His prior roles include working for a cloud computing firm, a commodity analytics company, and most recently at Deloitte in their financial advisory team. He hopes to leverage his experiences for a role in investment banking upon graduation. In his free time, Karan is passionate about all things music and has played guitar for several years, as well as training Muay Thai.

Ameer Mustafa

Ameer is a sophomore from Lahore, Pakistan majoring in Business Administration and Economics. He spent his past summer working at KPMG for their Risk and Management Consulting team and has previous roles in investment banking and ESG and Sustainability. Ameer plans to venture into consulting upon graduation. He is an avid musician and is part of a South Asian a cappella group. In his free time, Ameer enjoys cricket, soccer, political discussions and eating sushi.

Maya Stern

Maya is a Silicon Valley native majoring in Economics and Data Science. She is currently interning in private equity at a fund that invests in supply chain companies, and in equity research at Wall Street Oasis. This summer, she will be joining PeakSpan Capital as a growth equity analyst. Previous experiences include technical product management and financial research. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, going to concerts, and trying Japanese restaurants.

Lucas Baehr

Lucas is a sophomore from Howard County, Maryland intending to major in Business Administration and Data Science. His prior experience includes working at Rock Springs Capital, a hedge fund in Baltimore, MD, and The Kive Company, a startup in Los Angeles, CA. He currently works for Morgan Stanley in their Private Wealth Management division in San Francisco. Ashwin Kodibagkar

Ashwin is a sophomore from Dallas studying Applied Math and Computer science. Growing up in Texas, Ashwin is a huge fan of the Dallas Mavs and basketball, as he grew up playing the sport. He’s a big A$AP Rocky and Carti fan, and loves traveling to new places. He has previously worked at Wells Fargo, and will be rotating in quantitative investments at Societe Generale in New York this summer.

Sarah is a Boston native studying Economics. She is deeply interested in exploring the intersection between business and technology. In the past, Sarah has interned at an L/S equity fund, SkyDeck Startup, and a VC fund, and spent last summer at PwC. Her diverse experiences span social impact consulting, sociology research, and investigative journalism. In her free time, Sarah enjoys making sculptures, figure skating, skiing, and giving back to the community through education initiatives.
